MISSION
Arch Street is a drug-free and alcohol-free environment, where
teens can initiate and organize activities that improve their
social lives and provide leadership and community service.
PROCEDURES AND POLICIES
7th & 8th Grade
Recognizing that 7th & 8th graders needed their own set of
guidelines to reflect the age difference between middle school
students and high school students, Arch Street has a separate
policies and procedures.
1. Parent chaperones may enter into Arch Street parking lot to drop
off their children and wait until they enter the building. Two
police officers are on the premises every event night and one of
the officers is stationed outside the front entrance through the
duration of the night’s activity.
2. Once inside, the children identify themselves, pay admission,
and have their hands stamped. Their coats and bags are checked and
they proceed upstairs for the evening. Once the student has entered
the building, they are not permitted to leave.
3. Executive Director, Kyle Silver and at least ten other internal
security personnel monitor the inside of the building throughout
the night.
4. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS PERMITTED AT ARCH
STREET. Should a student arrive intoxicated or under the influence
of drugs or be caught with alcohol or drugs, parents are
immediately notified and asked to pick up their child. A meeting is
requested with the Executive Director, parents, and the child.
5. Arch Street has a firm NO SMOKING policy. Any student caught
smoking is given a strict warning only once. If the rule is again
ignored, their parents are notified.
6. At the end of the Activity, students await their parent
chaperone in the lobby of Arch Street amid security. Students may
leave the facility when their parent chaperone arrives at the front
of Arch Street.
Arch Street truly wants to serve Greenwich students, parents and
community to the best of our ability and your comments are critical
to this purpose. We welcome any student or parent feedback, both to
express concerns and reinforce positive experiences. Please feel
free to contact us with any questions or schedule a tour of the
facility.
